Malayer Malayer Malayer Malayer

The main village of Malayer located in N.W. Iran, along with the smaller villages surrounding it, have produced during the 19th and early 20th centuries, some of the finest decorative examples of the Persian carpet industry. Due to their usual repetitive motifs, and fine colors, have become one of the favorites of modern interior decorators.

The present wonderful Malayer, circa 1900, with its “Herati motif” variable, which spreads all over the soft olive-green background, having a wavy “meander” border, flanked by anthemion blossoms and in combination with its majestic size, make this antique carpet ideal for any space decorated with good taste, whether this is of classic or modern style.
