Art Deco

In the 1920’s, the prime period of Art Deco carpets, some of the finest if not the best pieces were made in China. This beautifully balanced, both with respect to design and color, carpet was made in Peking by a major workshop. The camel-gold field covered randomly with creamy vine leaves allows the necessary space for the finely decorated flowery border and the four “fan-like” corners to make a statement of the exquisite personality of this wonderful carpet.
