Afshar

This is the best-known motif design of the Afshar tribe of southwestern Persia, widely known as “boteh”. The unusual feature in this most charming small rug is size ratio, as well as the density of motif placement and “cinema seat” arrangement. Quite significant is the fact that quite a large part of its wonderful kilim has been preserved. In fairly good condition according to age.
