Cicim

This amazing type of flatweave textile is mainly found in central Asia Minor. The basic kilim weave is additionally crafted with interlacing weft threads, infusing it with depth, texture and traditional motifs. These extra weft threads enhance the resilience and longevity of the flat weave, allowing at the same time the weaver to explore her artistic capabilities. This particular cicim has muted colours, suited to any elegant environment.
