Moroccan Embroided Kilim

This very rare antique Moroccan kilim bears two exceptional features. The amazing purplish hue, the dye of which comes from a certain seashell, and the elegantly spaced embroidered parts decorated with superbly colored traditional motifs. Its lengthy size reveals that it was possibly a commissioned textile which, because it was probably treasured, has been preserved in mint condition.
