Holy Luz
Debuted April 2025 at 5Vie in Milan during Salone del Mobile week, HolyLuz is a highly crafted rug, designed incollaboration between Art Rug Projects by Soutzoglou and on.entropy, the Greek-based atelier founded by Niki & Zoe Moskofoglou. Inspired by the organic forms andluminescent beauty of afungus from Tasmanis, called Omphalotus nidiformis, the collection reimagines decay as a transformation.
At the heart of the collection is on.entropy’s first rug, which harmonises with the sculptural marble fixtures and furniture, balancing sensual form with stunning lightness. Meticulously crafted from finely woven silk & woolen yarns, Holy Luz redefines materiality, transforming the rug into a fluid, jewel-like object. Beyond its artistry, the collection conveys a deeper message – in a world of social and climatic instability, decay is not the end but the beginning. Just as fungi regenerate ecosystems, Holy Luz invites a shift in perspective, celebrating the cycles of renewal, adaptation and rebirth of nature through the interaction of light, texture and form.
