Afshar

The Afshar tribe of southwestern Persia is well known for being responsible for some of the most charming small rugs made in the middle of the 19^th century up to the 1920’s. This magnificent very famous design of two symmetrically opposite flowerpots, is displayed here on a natural cream-white ground, surrounded by a blossom and calyx border. The very spacious, plain background adds to its grandeur and charm. Purely, a collector’s item.
