Afshar Afshar Afshar Afshar

The Afshar tribe of southwestern Persia is well known for being responsible for some of the most charming small rugs made in the middle of the 19th century up to the 1920’s. This magnificent very famous design of two symmetrically opposite flowerpots, is displayed here on a natural cream-white ground, surrounded by a blossom and calyx border. The very spacious, plain background adds to its grandeur and charm. Purely, a collector’s item.
